Brake Pads

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Refer to: Brake and Clutch Systems Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

  1. NOTICE: Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.

    Torque : 26 Nm
  1. NOTE: Note the position of each component before removal.

  1. NOTICE: Protect the caliper pistons and boots when pushing the caliper piston into the caliper piston bores.

Installation

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Depress the brake pedal, check the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top up as necessary with brake fluid.
    Material : Motorcraft® DOT 4 LV High Performance Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid / PM-20 (WSS-M6C65-A2) (ISO 4925 Class 6)
