Overview
The cruise control system is controlled by the PCM and the IPC . The cruise control system is designed to maintain a selected vehicle speed between 30 km/h (18 mph) and the maximum limited vehicle speed. When a MyKey® restricted key is in use and max speed limiter is turned on, vehicle speed is limited. The maximum vehicle speed can be set to 105 km/h (65 mph), 113 km/h (70 mph), 121 km/h (75 mph) , or 129 km/h (80 mph).
The cruise control system is controlled by the steering wheel mounted switches (ON/OFF, SET+, SET-, and CAN/RES), brake pedal inputs and CPP switch (manual transmission). The cruise control switches are hard-wired to the IPC . The IPC sends a HS-CAN message to the PCM to control the cruise control system. The clockspring provides the electrical interface between the steering column wiring and the cruise control switches in the steering wheel.
