Body Control Module (BCM)

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current BCM installed. If the current BCM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair.

    A minimum of 2 RKE transmitter(s) are necessary to complete the configuration.

    Using the diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the BCM following the on-screen instructions.

Installation

  1. Torque : 13 Nm
  1. NOTE: If the BCM is not being replaced, this is the last step that is necessary.

  1. Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the BCM following the on-screen instructions.
  1. Carry out the BCM self-test to confirm all DTC have been cleared.
  1. For vehicles without push button start, program all the RKE transmitter(s) into the new BCM .
