Crankcase Vent Oil Separator

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Refer to: Intake Manifold (303-01B Engine - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Refer to: Starter Motor (303-06B Starting System - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma, Removal and Installation).
   

Installation

NOTICE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

1. Lubricate the spigot O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
   Material : Motorcraft® SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-QSP (WSS-M2C945-A)

1. NOTE: Push the spigot into the engine block.

   Start all of the bolts finger tight.
   Torque :
     Stage 1:  bolts 1, 2 and 3 to 5.5 Nm
     Stage 2:  bolts 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to 5.5 Nm
     Stage 3:  all bolts in sequence to 9.5 Nm

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
