Accessory Drive Belt

Removal

NOTICE: Under no circumstances should the accessory drive belt, tensioner or pulleys be lubricated as potential damage to the belt material and tensioner damping mechanism will occur. Do not apply any fluids or belt dressing to the accessory drive belt or pulleys.

  1. General Equipment : Knife

Installation

NOTICE: Under no circumstances should the accessory drive belt, tensioner or pulleys be lubricated as potential damage to the belt material and tensioner damping mechanism will occur. Do not apply any fluids or belt dressing to the accessory drive belt or pulleys.

NOTICE: Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise.

  1. NOTE: Without A/C shown, with A/C similar.

    Position the belt to be installed.
  1. NOTE: After installation, verify the accessory drive belt is correctly seated on all of the pulleys.

    Using a belt installer tool, install the belt.
  1. Verify the accessory drive belt is correctly seated on all of the pulleys.
