Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma, Removal and Installation).

  1. NOTE: Have the new component ready to install to reduce coolant loss.

    NOTE: Be prepared for escaping fluid.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Check the coolant level in the degas bottle and add coolant as necessary.
    Material : Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant Prediluted / VC-3DIL-B (WSS-M97B44-D2)
