Transmission Control Module (TCM)

Removal

1. Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
   

1. Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine.
   

1. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.6L Duratec-16V Ti-VCT (88kW/120PS) - Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTICE: Make sure that the terminals or pins/sockets of the transmission control module (TCM) and the TCM electrical connector are not bent or damaged.

1. WARNING: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.

Installation

1. WARNING: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.

   Material : Motorcraft® Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-11-QDC (WSS-M2C200-D2)

1. NOTICE: Make sure that the terminals or pins/sockets of the transmission control module (TCM) and the TCM electrical connector are not bent or damaged.

   Torque : 27 Nm

1. 2. Torque : 8 Nm

1. Torque : 13 Nm

1. 1. Torque : 25 Nm
   2. Torque : 10 Nm

1. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.6L Duratec-16V Ti-VCT (88kW/120PS) - Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
   

1. NOTE: New units must be configured using the Programmable Module Installation Routine in the diagnostic tool.

   Upload the module information from the diagnostic tool to the module using the Programmable Modules Installation routine.
