NOTE: The FPDM is located under the carpet below the LH front seat.Remove the LH front seat.
NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI), the High Pressure Pump is a positive displacement pump and keeps the high pressure side independent from the low pressure side. If a service procedure is performed on the high pressure side, only the high pressure side needs pressure removed. If a service procedure is needed on the low pressure side, only the low pressure side needs the pressure removed. Running the engine with the FPDM disconnected will remove most of the pressure from both sides of the system.Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine stalls.
NOTE: It may take more than one key cycle to pressurize the fuel systemCycle the ignition key and wait 3 seconds to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks before starting the engine.
