Selector Lever Cable

Removal

  1. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
  1. Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.6L Duratec-16V Ti-VCT (88kW/120PS) - Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  1. If equipped.

Installation

  1. Torque : 9 Nm
  1. Torque : 9 Nm
    1. Torque : 40 Nm
  1. Make sure that a new component is installed.
  1. Make sure that a new component is installed.
    Torque : 47 Nm
  1. If equipped.
  1. Torque : 10 Nm
  1. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.0L EcoBoost (90kW/120PS)/1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  1. Start and run the engine at idle.

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the selector lever and the gearshift mechanism are in the P position.
