Removal

NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.

NOTICE: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These tools cause scratches and gouges which make leak paths.

1. NOTE: Note the position of the components before removal.

1. NOTE: The O-ring seals are to be reused unless damaged.

Installation

1. 1. 3-4 turns
      
   2. 2-13
      Torque : 10 Nm

1. Torque : 8 Nm

1. Apply silicone dielectric compound to the inside of the spark plug wire boots.
   Material : Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound / XG-3-A (ESE-M1C171-A)

1. NOTE: The O-ring seals are to be reused unless damaged.

   Material : Motorcraft® SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-QSP (WSS-M2C945-A)

1. Torque : 8 Nm
