Kristin & I took a trip to Frederick, MD for our anniversary. While touring around the beatiful countryside I snapped a few shots of various subjects. Railroads, bridges & Gettysburg battlefield to name a few.

Frederick, MD MARC station
Everything here appears to be very new. This is the end of the line for this branch, the track bumper is right around the end of the curve, out of sight.

Here the line curves away to meet the B&O (CSXT) mainline at Frederick Jct. (AKA. The "Brunswick Line" by MARC timetables.)

Baltimore & Ohio RR, York, Hanover & Frederick Railway. I'm not sure what this marker indicated.
MARC GP40WH-2 #62
Parked, idling, at the Frederick yards. The rest of the MARC Frederick line power was parked here, about 3 more trains. All idling quietly for the holiday weekend.

Howe truss bridge, built 1850-60. More info We also crossed the Utica Mills bridge.

On 5/30 we visited Gettysburg, PA and the Gettysburg Nat'l. Battlefield park.
