Brake Shift Interlock Actuator Manual Override

  1. NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a brake shift interlock feature that prevents the selector lever from being moved out of P when the ignition is in the ON position unless the brake pedal is applied.

    If the selector lever cannot be moved out of the P position when the ignition is in the ON position and the brake pedal is applied:

    Before beginning this procedure check for BSIA DTC . If BSIA DTC are present,

  1. Remove lower side panel.
  1. Start the engine.
  1. Install lower side panel.
