Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: If equipped with push button start the keys need to be programmed into the new RFA module during ignition off. Once the push button start keys have been programmed into the new RFA module, the ignition must be turned to the ON mode in order to reset the parameters in the new RFA module and the PCM .

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current RFA module installed. If the current RFA module does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair.

    Using the diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the RFA module following the on-screen instructions.
  1. Remove the passenger front seat.
    Refer to: Front Seat (501-10 Seating, Removal and Installation).
  1. Torque : 10 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
