  1. NOTE: Make sure that the syncros are in the neutral position.

    Special Tool(s) : 307-680 Table, Assembly (DPS6)

  1. NOTE: After installing the assembly table place the gear assembly in the upright position.

    Special Tool(s) : 307-680 Table, Assembly (DPS6)
  1. Remove Special Service Tool : 307-680 Table, Assembly (DPS6)

  1. NOTE: Make sure the shift drums are in the neutral position.

  1. NOTE: Make sure the shift drums are in the neutral position.

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the bearing retainers are correctly located.

    Special Tool(s) : 307-680 Table, Assembly (DPS6)
  1. Install a new component.
    Torque :
      Stage 1:  10 Nm
      Stage 2:  32 Nm
  1. Special Tool(s) : 307-580 Holding Fixture
  1. Remove Special Service Tool : 307-680 Table, Assembly (DPS6)

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the pawl pin is aligned to the actuation shaft guide.

  1. NOTE: The following 8 steps are only required when replacing the differential housing bearings.

  1. Special Tool(s) : 307-681 Differential Bearing Preload Tool , 308-164 (T88C-77000-JF) Shim Selection Set
  1. Special Tool(s) : 307-681 Differential Bearing Preload Tool
    Torque : 18 Nm
  1. Special Tool(s) : 307-681 Differential Bearing Preload Tool
  1. Special Tool(s) : 307-681 Differential Bearing Preload Tool
  1. Using a suitable feeler gauge, measure the clearance at the 3 locations shown.
    General Equipment : Feeler Gauge
  1. Remove the special tools.

  1. NOTE: The shim size should be the average of the 3 measurements.

    NOTE: Using the average of the recorded measurements, select the appropriate shim from the shim selection chart in the specifications section.

    Install the selected shim into the clutch housing.
  1. Special Tool(s) : 204-594 Forcing screw , 205-118 (T77F-4222-A) Differential bearing cap installer , 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal
  1. Material : Gasket Maker / TA-16 (WSK-M2G348-A5)

  1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.

    Special Tool(s) : 204-594 Forcing screw , 205-118 (T77F-4222-A) Differential bearing cap installer , 205-425 Installer, Differential Carrier Seal LH
  1. Make sure a new component is installed.
    Torque : 11 Nm

  1. NOTICE: Take extra care not to overheat the bearing.

    General Equipment : Hot Air Gun
  1. Tap the clutch housing down onto the transmission case.
    Special Tool(s) : 307-672 Installer, Input Guide and Seal

  1. NOTE: Fastener quantity varies with application.

    Torque : 27 Nm

  1. NOTE: Fastener quantity varies with application.

    Torque : 27 Nm
  1. General Equipment : Punch
    Torque : 43 Nm

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the component is clean and free of foreign material.

    Install Special Service Tool : 307-670 Remover/Installer, Shift Lever Seal
    Torque : 15 Nm

  1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.

    Torque : 26 Nm

  1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.

  1. NOTE: Use a new seal.

    Special Tool(s) : 307-672 Installer, Input Guide and Seal

  1. NOTE: Use a new seal.

    Special Tool(s) : 307-674 Installer, Outer Input Seal

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the bolt heads are not protruding above the housing surface.

    Torque : 8 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Refer to: Clutch Actuator (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250) .
    2. Refer to: Clutch and Damper Unit (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
    3. Refer to: Clutch Actuator Motor (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
    4. Refer to: Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
    5. Refer to: Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
    6. Refer to: Transmission Range (TR) Sensor (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
    7. Refer to: Transmission Control Module (TCM) (307-01 Automatic Transmission - Vehicles With: 6-Speed PowerShift Transmission - DPS6/6DCT250, Removal and Installation).
  1. New component.
    Install Special Service Tool : 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle , 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal
  1. New component.
    Install Special Service Tool : 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle , 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal
