Intermountain Covered Hopper
Lettered for the Canadian Grain Fund cars, this is a very nice, detailed, complex kit. It's taken me quite a while to get it to where it is, as I've picked up and put down this kit several times. I have to finish the grab irons, piping and some other hatch detail before it's complete. Even though it's a little modern for my era, I think I'll hold on to it as I think it's a really neat model. |

Here it is; underframe complete, trucks mounted and some weathering applied. I decided to start with some rust streaks covering some blemishes on the model from the construction process. I will finish with various other shades of rust, some washes, airbushing and some chalk. As of 5/10/04, this is where I am. |
