between WV & MD. The marker is believed to have been set there
by a young George Washington, and also marks the beginning of the

Oakland,
MD B&O RR Station
Designed by famous architecht Francis Baldwin and
built in 1884. Restored, it's now the local Railroad history museum.
The CSX train still passes by here quite frequently. Here
is a nice article about the station and its restoration from Maryland.com.
