The Georgetown Branch: Gallery: Drop ceiling, episode 1. 02/29/2004 - My father in law Bruce came over again to lend a hand putting up the drop ceiling. Neither of us had ever done this before so it was quite an adventure. I'd already been to Home Depot and picked up the materials, so we were ready to go. We spent a good bit of time scheming how we were going to tackle the job and referring to some poorly done instructions we had on hand. Originally I planned on renting a Spinning Laser Level from Home Depot, and someone there even confirmed that they did over the phone. But, when I arrived and asked they said they didn't have one. DUH! Remember: When you call places like that, make sure you are VERY VERY SPECIFIC. I think they glared right over the "SPINNING" part of the laser level I wanted. Ugh. Anyway, we used a regular old style level to draw the line around the room, and it worked out pretty good. We managed to finish most of the grid for half of the room and plan on another session in mid March. Enjoy. |
