Ben Sullivan's Model Railroad
The Georgetown Branch: Gallery: Painting in the basement

12/02/2003- Some of the members of my Train Club, Maryland Central Model Railroad Club, helped me paint the walls between the furring strips. Here's some "after" pics. After discussion with them I decided to remove the furring strips and redo them. Mainly this is so that I can seal the entire wall, AND so that I will have properly spaced strips that are level and secure. As the strips are in these photos, they are nailed into the masonry, some are not level, and are not evenly spaced. There's even some scrap plywood nailed up to the wall. I think the duds who previously did the work just used what they had laying around instead of doing it properly.

Far end again. Painting/sealing was done in between the strips.
